FAO, the ACP-FLEGT Programme and the UN-REDD Programme, in collaboration PROFOR, organised the Expert Working Meeting on Forest Governance Data Collection on 6-7 June 2012, at FAO Headquarters.The meeting brought together experts and practitioners working on the assessment and monitoring of forest governance. The objective was to share experiences and practical lessons related to forest governance data collection as well as to identify possible needs for guidance to practitioners and options to respond to these needs. Participants were representatives of international initiatives aiming to monitor and/or assess forest governance, as well as field practitioners involved in related indicator development and data collection.
