The latest 18th session of the African Forestry Wildlife Commission takes place in Cotonou, Benin from 16-20 January 2012 and will discuss the importance of governance and benefit sharing in the sustainable management of Africa's forests, tress and wildlife with an emphasis on REDD+ experiences in Africa. Read more.

The African Forestry Wildlife Commission is one of six Regional Forestry Commissions established by FAO to provide a policy and technical forum for countries to discuss and address forest issues on a regional basis, every two years.
