This week, people from government, civil society organisations and community groups are gathering in Naypitaw to identify the potential benefits and risks of REDD+ implementation in Myanmar.

In particular, they are making recommendations on how these potential benefits can be enhanced and risks reduced, building on benefits and risks already identified through sub-national consultations. The two-day workshop is organised by the Myanmar UN-REDD Programme, and involves around 40 participants.
