The UN-REDD Programme provides countries with reliable and effective technical assistance, capacity building and policy advice to implement specific element of REDD+ required to qualify for the RBP, including National Forest Monitoring System (NFMS), Forest Emissions Level (FREL), National REDD+ Strategies and Action Plans (NSAP) and Safeguards Information System (SIS).

Aligned with the priorities of GLF, UN-REDD and its partners will demonstrate examples of efforts to curb deforestation and increase forest cover in different landscapes the last past 10 years and discuss future potential to accelerate the implementation in the African context and access Results-Based- Payments.

Informed by the expertise of policy makers and practitioners the event will demonstrate countries success stories in regards to the completion of the Warsaw Framework, the challenges to deliver results against deforestation and forest degradation, and document key steps and requirements to access RBP.
