The UN Sustainable Development Goals calls for halting deforestation by 2020. The climate agreement in Paris aims to limit global temperature increase to well below 2 °C. What concrete actions should follow up the outcomes from the Climate Change Conference in Paris?

This year Oslo REDD Exchange will bring together close to 500 REDD+ policy makers and practitioners. The conference is an exchange of perspectives, experiences and forward-looking ideas.

The conference will present results from REDD+, with the aim of promoting successful implementation.

Participants will discuss topics of key importance for reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries.

There can no longer be 'they' and 'us' if we want to halt rainforest destruction. Civil society, indigenous peoples, private sector, and politicians must work together to stop deforestation by 2030.
