Las visiones de los pueblos originarios sobre el cambio climático y las posibles medidas para reducir la deforestación y la degradación de los bosques serán claves en la construcción de la Estrategia REDD+ de Paraguay. Sus perspectivas fueron captadas durante el Taller para Comunicadores Indígenas sobre Cambio Climático y Reducción de Emisiones de Carbono, realizado recientemente en Asunción Paraguay por el PNC ONU-REDD y el Instituto Paraguayo del Indígena (INDI).

Indigenous peoples of Paraguay share their visions on forests and climate change
The visions of indigenous peoples about climate change and possible measures to reduce forest deforestation and degradation are key to the construction of Paraguay’s REDD+ strategy. These perspectives where captured during the “Indigenous Communicators Workshop on Climate Change and Carbon Emissions Reductions” held recently in Asunción, Paraguay by the UN-REDD National Joint Programme and Paraguay’s Indigenous Institute.
